Review Of Searchfeed's Affiliate Program(Review prepared - March 2005)
Quick Summary
ReviewSearchfeed is a pay per click search engine which gets much of its traffic from affiliates (a review of the search engine from an advertiser's point of view is here). The Searchfeed affiliate program is a free opportunity where webmasters can earn money by promoting the search engine. You can make one three different ways:
Once you become an affiliate, you get access into their member's area. This includes instructions on a wide range of different integration options for the pay per click results, as well as referral banners/links that you can use to refer advertisers and affiliates. The member's area also includes a powerful set of reporting options, which allow you to see, on a daily basis, exactly what searches you have generated, which searches generated clicks, how much revenue your clicks generated and so on. One of the most interesting integration options is Searchfeed's XML feed. This means, with the right scripts, you can display Searchfeed's results directly on your web site - a great feature if your site is a search site, or has a search feature. Of course, to use the XML feature, you will need the right scripts installed on your web site - you can either write such scripts yourself, or use an off-the-shelf program such as Smart Search ConclusionI think Searchfeed is a good affiliate opportunity for many web sites, and as I say, we are using it ourselves. The affiliate member's area is easy to use, clear, and comprehensive. I also found Searchfeed's staff extremely helpful in assisting us, as new affiliates, to get started. My overall rating for Searchfeed's affiliate program is therefore highly recommended.
