I've Wasted Tens of Thousands of Dollars on Stupid Domains

I used to suck at domaining. I paid several thousands in renewal fees for years and while, yes, I made some sales, I was just spinning my wheels. I wasn't really making any money.

Product Description:
The Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) was implemented by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in 1999. Between 2000 when the first domain name case was decided and 2015 there have been over 45,000 decided cases. That's approximately 3,500 to 4,000 decisions annually. Parties never confront each other in person as they do in a court of law. The entire procedure takes place online. The UDRP is a quick, efficient and relatively inexpensive regime for determining rights to domain names. Trademark owners can challenge domain name registrants for infringement of their rights to the exclusive use of their marks on the Internet. Decisions are then posted online within 45 days of the submission of the complaint. From these decisions has emerged a unique body of domain name law. One of the several truths gained from the collective wisdom of panelists who decide UDRP cases is that parties often fail to understand the evidentiary demands they must satisfy to succeed. DOMAIN NAME ARBITRATION is the most comprehensive and in-depth work on the jurisprudence of domain names. It fully describes and illustrates, with case law, the procedural process and proof elements required of the parties. In addition, it thoroughly explores the law governing registration and use of domain names that are identical or confusingly similar to trademarks. The book provides an analytical description of the process and a step-by-step examination of the evidentiary elements that parties must satisfy to establish the merits of a claim or defense of infringement. As the Honorable Neil A. Brown, Queens Counsel in Melbourne, Australia writes in the book's Foreword, "Domain Name Arbitration puts flesh on the bones by illustrating how jurisprudence crafted by panelists makes UDRP a living and working dispute resolution regime."

$7.95 Marketing Plan - How To Choose Memorable & Powerful Domain Names

By Jim Kukral

Digital Book Launch
Released: 2011-06-12

$7.95 Marketing Plan - How To Choose Memorable & Powerful Domain Names
Product Description:
Names matter, especially domain names. The right name can make or break your business or brand. Do you know the secret formula to discovering and coming up with awesome domain names? The $7.95 Marketing Plan will show you how to come up with mind-blowing, memorable names that people will NOT forget. This book has been read by hundreds of thousands of people and is your guidebook to success.

"Stop! Don't buy a domain name until you read this book first."

From the Author...

I’ve always been fascinated and entertained by fun, memorable domains names. Well, not just the domains, but the actual businesses and the ROI behind them as well. If a domain name is used well together with a creative idea, you can create a killer marketing campaign that can skyrocket your sales, leads and publicity for your business or brand.

And that my dear reader is the entire short premise of this book.

It’s brilliant really. Think about it. For the low cost of under $10.00, you can build an explosive, and memorable creative marketing campaign that will get customers to remember who you are.

It doesn’t get simpler than this, or cheaper.
Using a domain name to market your new idea, or your business, or to review an old project or whatever, is simply a smart thing to do. This book is written to not only inspire you into taking action, but also to help you understand how others are doing it and how you can do it too.

But Is It Really A Marketing Plan?

By no means is the $7.95 Marketing Plan a real marketing plan. My apologies to all the MBA’s out there who fell of your chairs when you saw the title of this book. Of course it's not a "real" marketing plan in the true definition. (Frankly, we think those are overrated in my most cases anyway).

However, If you’re so inclined to be one of those people who feel the need to have a full marketing plan in place then I highly recommend you do that. You're just not going to get that kind of crazy talk here where we do things willy-nilly (that's a highly technical term for half-assed).

For me, well, I’m more of a “let’s throw it up there and see if it sticks” kind of marketing guy. Not only does this allow me to move faster than well, everyone else, but it also allows me to fail more often than most. And to me, failure is just another step toward success. So if you’re like me, be warned, moving ahead on frivolous marketing campaigns as described in this text can be a risk to your long-term success.

There, I said it. I'm covered now right? I'm sure the MBA's still hate me. But then again in my defense… Doing it my way is way more fun and sometimes, more rewarding.

Especially when you just catch lightening in a bottle and even more so when it only cost you only $7.95. :)
